Denver Botanic Gardens:  Opened in 1951, Denver Botanic Garden is located in Colorado.  The garden is named after its city, Denver, and it lies near Cheesman Park.  Spread over 23 acres of manicured land, the garden is home to some of the rarest plant species and wildflowers.  The garden also has a grand conservatory and it organizes several programs to educate their visitors on botanic life.  You will come across thousands of rare flowering plants in here.  You will also find a Japanese Garden which is quit popular among its visitors.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden:  Created in 1920, Brooklyn Botanic Garden is known as one of the oldest Gardens in the U.S.  The garden has many attractions that draw around a million tourists from different parts of the world.  Located in Brooklyn, the garden spans out over 50 acres of land.  It is well known for its Bonsai Museum that forms a part of its conservatory.  The garden houses around 12,000 exotic plant varieties.  There is also an aquatic plant gallery that exhibits rare water plants.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden:  Located in Coral Gables, Fairchild Tropical Garden is one of the best attractions in Florida.  Created in 1983, the garden is made over an area of 83 acres.  You will find in here several tropical plants; some of them are endangered species.  It is popular for its cycads collection.  Cycad is an earliest known species and now it is on the verge of extinction.  There is also a palm garden featuring over 500 varieties of palm trees.

Chicago Botanic Garden:  Recreated in 1965, Chicago Botanic Garden is located on an area of 385 acres.  Originally formed around a century ago, the garden remained neglected for several decades.  It was formally inaugurated in 1972 and since then it has developed as one of the most beautiful gardens in Illinois.  The major specialty of this garden is that it is formed of nine islands connected by different lakes.  The garden hosts around 10,000 distinctive plant species.  Every year the spot attracts around 800,000 tourists.
